Electric cars in India 2021

In this article I am going to tell you guys about the status of electric cars in India currently and some of the top cars which is going to launch in India which will hold a good position in the automobile market. As of 2020 Electric Vehicles has less than one percent of the total sales in a year in the automobile market, which is quite low. But the system has predicted that soon it is going to be 5 percent. But petrol price hike is not only the reason behind the rise, the price of battery falling around 70 percent since 2010, the price of electric cars can match the price of fuel-powered cars. Not only fuel, there are lot of factors based on which we can say that the electric cars are going to take over in the market.

But what's next ?? A lot of companies are invesitng in India in the electric automobile market. But the only thing which is the biggest problem is the cost of those cars, though companies are trying to reduce it as much as they can but still the prices are high for a normal man to buy. Tesla which is one of the biggest electric car industry is also going to launch its cars in India. Hyundai and Audi both the companies are also going to launch electric cars soon. Tata motors are working on the production of electric cars very soon and the cost estimation of Tata cars is going to be comparatively low as said by them. Also if Tata succesfully launches its electric car, as its India made service cost should be low.

Now, lets talk about some of the cars which are going to get launched in 2021

Audi e-tron - Audi-etron-Exterior-170076.jpg The well known company Audi is goinig to launch its car E-tron in july 2021 as predicted with a cost of around 1 lakh.This will be launched with two variants one is E-tron 50 and E-tron 55. It will contain two batteries, one of 71kWh and 95 kWh (up to 408PS/up to 664Nm in boost).It has a lot of features including ambient lighting,wireless charging, and power-adjustable front seats. It does also have a lot of safety features like eight airbags, front and rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera. After the successfull launch of the E-tron Audi is planning to launch its Q4 model.

Hyundai Kona Electric - Hyundai-Kona-Electric-Right-Front-Three-Quarter-162185.jpg Hyundai is going to launch its Kona Electric model in August 2021. The price of the car is going to be 23.75 Lakhs. This specific car is going to have two batteries one of 64 kWh and the other of 39.2 kWh.If we charge the battery with the 7.2 kW AC charger then it will take only 6 hrs to charge from 10 to 100 percent. It will have a feature ambient lighting and 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

Tesla Model S - front-left-side-47.webp Tesla which is which is new in India automobile market is going to launch its S model in the end of 2021 as expected. The expected price of this car is 1.5 crore. This specific model contains three electric powertrain options which are long range, Plaid and Plaid +.The Long range variant can complete 0 to 96 kmph sprint in 3.1 seconds and the paid and paid + variant can complete with in 1.99 seconds and less. Though the cost estimation of this car is too high, it will have a lot of features like 21-inch alloy wheels, a glass roof, two wireless smartphone charging pads, and a 22-speaker 960W audio system.

As said the cost of this electric cars are quiet high due to the higher production cost. Tata motors are trying to build something which can be of low cost, also if they successfully launch a car then the service cost will be cheaper then others as it is India made.
